Rauw Alejandro
Raul Alejandro Ruiz was born on January 10, 1993. He is known as Rauw Alejandro. Referred to as the "King of the New Reggaeton",[2][3] he belongs to "the younger generation" of Puerto Rican urban musicians. The album he released his debut, Afrodisiaco (studio album), was released in November of 2020. Vice Versa was his second studio album, was released in June 2021. It included the title track "Todo de Ti". Two Latin Grammy Awards have been won by him from 12 nominations. Raul Alejandro Ruiz, a Latin Grammy Award winner, was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico on the 10th of January 1993. He was also raised in Canovanas and Carolina. His father, guitarist Raul Ocasio, and his mother, backing vocalist Maria Nelly Ruiz, introduced him to some of his music influences, including Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson and Chris Brown. Alejandro and his father stayed for many years in the United States. They mainly settled in New York City and Miami. [7][8] Alejandro and fellow Puerto Rican rapper Anuel AA are childhood friends; they were both at the same school and attended classes together. 9/10/10 Alejandro was a gifted dancer as a child and competed in talent shows. He attended the University of Puerto Rico after having graduated from high school. He played soccer between the ages of six and twenty. But , he resigned because he was unable to be as effective as he had hoped. He moved to Orlando, Florida to attempt to get scouted to play in the Premier Development League (PDL), but eventually was unsuccessful. Rauw Alejandro's style of music is Latin R&B and reggaeton. He also loves dance music and rhythmic pop. Billboard claimed that his music "set his music apart" from the growing group of Reggaetoneros who lean towards pop. He was initially influenced by Presley and Jackson as well as later on by Ricky Martin, Daddy Yankee and Chris Brown. He also mentions Ciara as a musical influence.
