In August of 2020, Addison Rae was named by Forbes magazine as the highest-earning TikToker in the world. It is also among of the most popular individuals on TikTok. The fame of Addison Rae on TikTok extends beyond TikTok to other platforms, including Instagram, YouTube and Twitter. In 2021 she made her first appearance on stage with the release of Obsessed, her debut single. The song peaked at the top fourth spot on the New Zealand Hot Singles Chart and then became the 6th most trending YouTube video just a day after its release.
